1. Compliance With Colorado Mental Health Practice Act

2. Mandatory Reporting
We comply with Colorado mandatory reporting laws regarding:
- Abuse or neglect of children, elders, or at‐risk adults
- Threats of harm to self or others
- Other legally required disclosures under C.R.S. §19-3-304, §18-6.5-108, etc.
Clients are informed of these obligations during intake and through our disclosures.
3. Client Rights & Professional Disclosure Statement
In accordance with Colorado law, every client receives access to a Professional Disclosure Statement outlining:
- The clinician’s credentials, training, and license
- Therapeutic methods used
- Fee and billing policies
- Confidentiality and its legal limits (including mandatory reporting)
- Client rights and how to submit a grievance or complaint (including how to contact the licensing board)
4. Telehealth Compliance
For clients receiving telehealth services, we maintain the following:
- We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for telehealth
- Our providers are licensed or authorized to serve clients located in Colorado
- We inform clients of the risks, benefits, and alternatives of telehealth
5. HIPAA & State-Specific Privacy Protections
We hold client confidentiality to the highest standard under:
- The federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- When applicable, 42 CFR Part 2
- Colorado’s mental-health privacy law (C.R.S. §13-21-117)
All electronic protected health information (ePHI) is stored, transmitted, and accessed in compliance with both federal and Colorado state regulations.
6. Ethical Standards
Our clinicians adhere to the ethical codes of their respective professions (e.g., American Psychological Association (APA), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), American Counseling Association (ACA)) and follow Colorado requirements for:
- Responsible treatment planning
- Adequate documentation
- Informed consent
- Non-discrimination
- Continuing professional education
7. Commitment to Consumer Protection
We adhere to Colorado consumer-protection regulations, ensuring:
- Transparent communication about fees, services, cancellation and no-show policies
- Honest advertising and accurate representation of services
