ReachLink offers several payment options—commercial insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits, and self-pay. Understanding how verification, costs, and transitions work ensures you get the most out of your coverage.

Verification Process

  • Enter your insurance or EAP information during registration.
  • The Care Coordination team verifies your benefits, usually within one hour.
  • Appointments cannot be confirmed until verification is complete.
  • Once verified, you’ll see only in-network providers for your plan.

What Verification Confirms

  • Eligibility for mental health services
  • Your copay or cost-share amount
  • Session limits or authorizations
  • In-network provider availability
If verification is delayed or cannot confirm eligibility, you may:
  • Wait for verification (typically within an hour)
  • Switch temporarily to self-pay (rates available upon request)
  • Apply insurance retroactively once verification completes

Transitions Between Coverage Types

From EAP to Commercial Insurance

  • Care Coordinators contact you before your last EAP session to discuss next steps.
  • You may request early verification of your commercial insurance at any time to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Automatic switch occurs after all EAP sessions are completed.
  • You may switch to commercial insurance early if preferred (especially if your copay is low or $0).

If No Eligible Insurance Is Found

Your options include:
  • Switching to self-pay (prices available upon request)
  • Taking a break and returning anytime
  • Using the same provider with your new payment method

Session Length Differences

  • Commercial Insurance & Self-Pay: 60 minutes
  • EAP: 45 minutes

Understanding Payment Timing

When You Pay

  • Self-pay: Payment processed at booking
  • Insurance: Copay due when confirming your appointment
  • EAP: No payment required

Fee Processing Details
